Aheloy is a resort in southeastern Bulgaria. Situated on the banks of the large Bourgas bay. An important event linked to the history of Aheloy is a battle of Aheloy River on 20 August 917, when King Simeon I crashed numerous Byzantine army led by Leo Phocas.
