Paphos, Cyprus

The coastal town of Paphos is located in the southwestern part of the island of Cyprus, near the city has an international airport. According to Greek mythology Paphos is the hometown of the goddess of love - Aphrodite, whose temple is located 14 km. from the village of Kouklia. The town's name comes from the daughter of Venus and Pygmalion called Paphos. The city is the capital of Cyprus for seven centuries. Interesting sights are the rock of Aphrodite, Aphrodite's baths, the Fountain of Love, an aquarium where you can see a variety of Mediterranean and tropical species.
