Mathiveri is located at the central aria of North ari atoll. There is a health centre in the island to provide basic health care service to the community. The health centre has a medical officer and 2 registered nurses and nearly 15 staff members.A police station is established in mathiveri island.
There is a school (up to grade 10) on the island to educate the children of the community. The principal of the school is Mr. Aneesul Rahumaan.
