Poznan is a city in central western Poland, the capital of Greater Poland Voivodeship. Is administratively divided into the separate county area 261.91 km2. It is also the administrative center of Poznań County without being part of it. Today Poznan is commercial, industrial and educational center. It is the fifth largest city in Poland and the fourth largest industrial center.
