Khao Lak - is a resort town on the west coast of the isthmus of the peninsula of Malacca in the Andaman Sea (Phangnga, Thailand), about a hundred kilometers from Phuket. The main attraction of the city - the National Park Khao Lak-Lam Ru, received its status relatively recently - in 1991, and in 1995 moved into the category of marine national parks.
