Bodrum is located in southwestern Turkey, located on the Bodrum Peninsula. Bodrum is located on the territory of the ancient city of Halicarnassus, where was located the mausoleum of Halicarnassus - one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. The museum was destroyed in the Middle Ages by the earthquake, with some parts of it are preserved and displayed at the British Museum.
