Istanbul is situated on both sides of the Bosphorus. With sky studded with domes and minarets, Istanbul is one of the truly romantic cities. Its history dates back in time, starting from the Byzantine Empire and its leading place in the Ottoman Empire until today, when it is the largest city in Turkey and its cultural center.
